Austin Takes on San Diego

San Diego Photography Trip

Did you know we have a photography studio in San Diego as well?! We do, and they happen to be amazing. So Kiera and I decided it was time for a trip to the coast to see our girls and help with a busy wedding weekend!

We got in late Friday night and the girls picked us up with the BEST sign and had no shame in shouting for “France Photographers”. It was the best welcome! We woke up Saturday and had a work day together, and then went to shoot a wedding on the bay with a beautiful view of the skyline! Shooting weddings in other cities is a MUST if you are a photographer. I feel like I learned so much from switching up my location and playing with a whole new scene!

Sunday the rest of the team had weddings, so Kiera and I got to explore the city. I was so grateful for a slow day to play around and see different areas of San Diego. We went to Coronado, and walked around Hotel Del and their beautiful beaches:

We had lunch at a little hole in the wall that served delicious cocktails, and then headed to Centennial Park where we took a few photos:

After that we left Coronado and visited Balboa Park near the San Diego Zoo. I was so impressed by all the architecture and gardens this park had. It was perfect for just walking around and exploring.

Before dinner, we went kayaking in La Jolla and it was probably my favorite part of the trip. It was beautiful, exciting, and was a new activity for me! After kayaking we walked around some local shops and then grabbed sushi for dinner. We ended the evening by picking up Sara from her wedding and grabbed a couple drinks before bed!

Monday we spent the day together updating our photos and headshots, and then had tacos and margaritas for dinner! Typical, but delicious!

All in all, I LOVE San Diego, and cannot wait to go back. The team was so welcoming and I feel so grateful to be part of such a supportive, kind, and powerful group!
